Naples Sailing & Yacht Club

Naples, Florida

896 River Point Dr, Naples, FL 34102, United States

At the Naples Sailing & Yacht Club, you learn more than just how to tie nautical knots when you take a trip by boat. You travel over land and sea, tying ties with hundreds of pals at each stop. In most places, going boating is something that’s done with your family together with maybe a few close friends.

However, in Naples, going boating encompasses a far wider range of activities, some of which have nothing to do with the sea at all, such as multi-boat excursions and regattas.

In 1964, the club was first established with a collection of sailboats and a small hut. Now, members may enjoy activities like dining, dancing, partying, swimming, and relaxing in a contemporary clubhouse that was built to resemble a cruise ship.

Members will get the impression that they are on a luxury ship thanks to the interior design, which includes details such as portholes in the kitchen doors and nautical flags in the ballroom.

When visiting neighboring clubs in Florida or in the Caribbean, members often travel together on cruises. Trips to Longboat Key, Key West, and Marathon are three of the most well-known destinations that may be reached by boat.

In addition to that, there is a fishing club that sets up fishing excursions for its members. In regattas, participants with sailboats compete against one another for the right to boast.

Hamilton Harbor Yacht Club

Rookery Bay

7065 Hamilton Ave, Naples, FL 34112, United States

The Hamilton Port Yacht Club, which can be found tucked away in a hidden harbor next to the stunning beaches of Rookery Bay, has the most direct access to the Gulf of Mexico that can be found anywhere in Naples Bay.

In less than ten minutes, boaters may sail south towards Rookery Bay or directly west, traversing Gordon Pass into the heart of Southwest Florida’s premier boating, sport fishing, and nature-watching spots. Rookery Bay is located on the Gulf of Mexico.

Collier Enterprises began construction on Hamilton Harbor in 2008, and since then, it has garnered a reputation as Naples’ most prestigious yacht club. Hamilton Harbor is recommended not just for its convenient location but for its magnificent clubhouse, the freshest seafood available, marina services, and superior boathouse.

The marina services and club activities here are of the finest caliber in Naples, and the boat storage facilities here are the best available. Everything revolves around a stunning clubhouse decorated in an old Florida style, complete with a restaurant and a bar.

  2. This has been a real eye-opener to me to discover that there is so much more to being a member of a boating club, than I knew. To find that one can have all the fun of using a boat, without having to be the owner, comes as a pleasant surprise to me. As a club member, is there a limit to the size of boat one can book? Can one take guests with you on the boat?

I know these boating clubs are all in Florida, but are there boating clubs one could join in Australia, and specifically around Brisbane? Thank you.

    • Hi Line,

Great question. It depends. Based on my research, some boat clubs rent boats that range from 18′ to 31′, others from 16′ to 25′.

I am not really familiar with Australia, but there must be some great boat clubs there. I found several good results by typing on Google Brisbane boat clubs. “South Brisbane Sailing Club,” “Brisbane Sailing Squadron,” And there are many more:)

I hope it helped. Let me know if you have more questions. I am always happy to assist:)

Thank you for the comment, and I wish you a lovely day.
