  2. Wow! This sounds amazing! It looks very luxurious. I would love to do this. It looks so relaxing. I love looking at the water. My husband would  love to get a boat so this might be a lovely taster for the family to see if  we like it enough to buy! Is it suitable for kids? Do you just cruise around and stop wherever you want or do you have to follow a scheduled route?

    • Hi Jenny,

Without a doubt, it would be a nice idea to test the Nova before buying it. Yes, the Nova welcome kids, but small children will need constant supervision. Some people might bring a nanny or a family member to help keep an eye on the children.
On the Nova, you are free to choose your own schedule, food and you can plan your itinerary with your broker or agency:) A yacht charter provides you a flexible and enjoyable sailing holiday!

I hope it helped! Please. don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any question. I’ll be more than happy to assist you!

You mentioned that the Nova accommodates 8  if I only have a party of 4 would we still be accommodated without any additional stranger passengers? Meaning could we book for only the 4 of us?

You rent the whole boat, so yes, four persons will be fine. You’ll have more space and privacy:) The crew will be part of the fleet, and they have their own cabins.

  4. I have to admit that I am NOT an expert on Yachts or have ever heard about Nova Catamaran, but, I really enjoyed your review about it!

However, i am researching right now about vacationing on a Yacht since I was invited to do so for next year.

Personally, I wasn’t aware that a sailing boat/yacht can be so luxury and I certainly appreciate the pictures of your article you are providing, it gives me a better understand about everything since I am a total  Greenhorn.

When I choose to book a vacation on the Nova Catamaran yacht do you have any advice for a “new” guest to this kind of vacation? Do I have to be aware of certain things?

Sorry, for all my questions I am excited but also a bit scared.

Thanks for your time to reply appreciated.

    • Hi Silvya,

First, thank you for the kind comment!

There is nothing to be scared of on Nova as it is a well stable catamaran with a professional crew that takes care of everything. Even seasick is less felt on a catamaran. So the only advice I would give is to get on board and enjoy every moment!

Thank you for the comment and hope yo have a great day!

Its modern and very luxurious. I would love to travel around Greece and Turkey on this incredible yacht. I’m sure the views and scenery all around here must be jaw dropping.

How much would it be to book this for a few days or is there a minimum you can book it out for?

The duration of a yacht charter is seven day. The sailing trip usually starts on Saturday and end on Saturday. If you want to know the price and other important details, please check. Nova is a spacious and comfortable boat, you and your family will love it!

  9. Wow, this looks like the ideal holiday. The best thing besides the beautiful wood interiors is of course a Chef. That means you don’t have to worry about what’s for dinner and then still have to cook it. That to me is a true holiday.

For the men it is also ideal as they don’t have to worry about driving or finding their way at sea, as it is left to an experienced captain. They don’t even have to steer the Catamaran.

The price is quite hefty but if you can share it with close friends, this would be a once in a lifetime holiday.

    • Hi Michele,

I agree it’s comfortable to have a chef and waitresses to pamper you the whole sailing trip. There is indeed nothing to worry about, whether the navigation, cooking or the cleaning. The crew takes care of everything which makes your sailing holidays a real dream!

The price is relatively low for all the comfort, and luxury Nova provides. There are cheaper catamarans, but they won’t give you the same level of attention and luxury. Sure, With Nova, you have a once a lifetime holiday!

Thank you for the comment and wish you a fantastic day!

  10. Hi Daniella,

    Great info and useful post.

This yacht looks perfect for a friend of mine. He wants to take his family on a trip to the Mediterranean Sea, and he was looking for a big boat.

I think this will perfectly suit him, and I have to say this looks beautiful.

A lot of space with beautiful interior design, it looks like a house on the water.

I’m sure he will rent this boat after having seen it.

Thanks a lot for sharing it.

  11. Hey, Daniella!

I’m absolutely loving the Nova Catamaran! Really liked how the accommodations looked. It’s insanely awesome that the chef really seems to know his stuff, it’s always very pleasant. Just every little thing about tripping with Nova Catamaran I found great!!!

What would you say is the best season to go for a trip with this one?

I have one unconventional question as well – is it also possible to buy the kind of boat? Or at least an extremely similar one? And if so how much would it cost?

I’m asking because quite recently I heard of the story of this inspirational guy called Caspar Craven, who traveled around the world with his family to ultimately really connect with them and take their inner family dynamic to new heights of harmony. I would really like to do that too for my family in a few years from now.

Nonetheless, it’s fine if you do not know the answers to the questions, I’m asking them purely out of curiosity. 🙂

Cheers and have a Great One!

    • Hi Matiss,

The Nova sails in Greece and Turkey, so the best season is from April to End of September. In October, it becomes much colder. You can buy anything you want as long as you have the budget to do so:) Cruising Sea doesn’t sell boats, so you will have to check further for the price. But if you’re planning to buy the Nova, I highly recommend you to charter it first, so you know what to expect. There is no better way to check the boat. Beautiful story about Caspar Craven! Good for him and his family!

Thank you for the comment, and I hope you have a great day!

  12. Hi Daniella. I was only on a Catamaran twice, in Costa Rica and while I loved it and enjoyed being out on the water, it is definitely nothing like the Nova Catamaran that you describe.

I would be quite content to just sit on it and luxuriate in the elegant surroundings and be pampered! Truly a beautiful vessel.  I do a fair bit of travelling but mostly by air. This might be something to think about. Thanks for sharing!

  14. I love sailing!  And one of the most enjoyable sailing routes is island hopping around Greece.

With a yacht the size of Nova, it is affordably manageable for 4 couples (8 friends) with a decent disposable income to indulge themselves once in a while and charter Nova for a week.  They would have fun tasting the delicacies and sights of each island and returning to their personal floating hotel for lazy down time.

You’ve got me all dreamy now …!  I see it’s almost booked up to October 2019 so it definitely pays to plan way ahead.

    Thank you for sharing.

  16. Hi; The Nova Catamaran is somewhat breth- taking according to its appairence in design and your fullsome discription of the Yatch. Who would not want to take a cruse on such elegant sea-Bird?

Greece and Turkey going into Athens seems to be the Nova principal Route of adventure. Would not this mean that people like me, from other parts of the world, would need to be air lifted to an Airport near to the Nova pick-up port?

I am impressed. Surely this is a vacation to consider and plan.

Indeed, the Nova is a beautiful catamaran with lots of great features! Yes, it would be preferable to take a flight and land in an Airport near the sailing starting point. The pickup location for the Nova is Athen, so it won’t be a problem to find a flight from where you live:)

My only worry would be how the Catamaran stands up against the tidal elements – a few of us suffer from seasickness and I’m not sure how steady these types of boats are?

    • Hi Chris,

Yes, this boat is beautiful, I agree with this:)
Generally, seasickness is less felt on a catamaran than on a monohull. Anyway, if you want to prevent seasickness on a boat, you may want to follow some of the tips listed in this article

  18. Hi Daniella – thanks for sharing this informative article. I absolutely adore the Greek islands and have visited many of them. I have often sat in habourside tavernas and looked on with envy at the yachts and catamarans. Next year, I may finally have the opportunity of experiencing this luxury, as my boyfriend has a special birthday approaching that needs to be celebrated in style! He is a keen fisherman and I notice that the Nova has rods on board. Is it possible to tailor the itinerary around some great fishing spots? Thanks for your help, Diane

    • Hi Diane,

      You are very welcome!
This is something you will have to discuss with your charter company. I am sure you’ll plan the ideal itinerary together.  There is fishing gear on board so that you and your boyfriend can enjoy the trip thoroughly!

  19. Daniella,

It looks quite well kitted out and modern. Considering the length of 19 meters it is quite roomy and designed for efficiency, as it should be.  The entertainment facilities and sporting gear will provide quite a lot to do besides relax and enjoy the sea breeze, plus it looks like you will eat well.  If the chef just cooks his own Greek specialties, I’ll be more than satisfied.

I’m wondering, is it possible to include any gear for a bit of scuba diving, maybe just a few tanks, and my partner and I will have our own equipment otherwise?  We are both professional diving instructors and would love to look around a bit in the Greek or Turkish waters.

I love the looks of this cat.

    Best regards,

    Joe

    • Hi Joe,

Yes, effectively, the Nova is a beautiful and spacious yacht, no doubt about it!
This yacht provides scuba diving Rendez-Vous on board. Meaning, there is all the gear required for a diving class. But as you are already an instructor, the only thing you will have to bring is your license so that you can use the equipment and dive with your friend:)
Don’t worry about the tanks; you have everything you need on board the Nova!

      I hope it helped!

2/ The captain and chef’s duties are enumerated , but what are the hostess,s duties what does she do ?

3/ I know that catamarans are good  boats,  but how stable is the Nova in bad weather?

4/Are the emergency equipment and services of the same high quality  ?

5/Are  the passengers covered by the company,s insurance or do they have to provide their own?

    • Hi Robert,

      1) You are totally right, we didn’t pay attention to this detail and we thank you for mentioning it:) It’s all rectified now!
      2) The hostesses are responsible for serving meals and drinks as well as cleaning and laundry. They cater all your needs:)
      3) Well, the Nova is also a catamaran, thus it is very stable and comfortable, even on agitated waters. But anyway, in case of bad weather, the trip will be canceled.
      4) Yes, the Nova has all the safety equipment on board. You can be reassured about this. There is an inspection before any embarkation and after debarkation to check if everything works correctly.
      5) Usually, insurance covers only the owner of the yacht and the crew on board. So the charterer does not benefit from the Owner’s insurance. This means you will have to get your own coverage.

I hope it helped! Please let me know if you need more info. I’ll be more than happy to assist.
