  1. Great site. Has some awesome articles that are varied and cover a lot of different aspects of sailing. It’s actually inspirational in that it makes me want to return back to Naples and go sailing in Greece.

I can’t lend any feedback for improvement because it looks all set. But I’m sure you know yourself where you wish to take the site. Possibly the only thing you may to consider would be including a brief description somewhere, maybe a tag line, as to what the site is about.

I know it is obviously about sailing but I wasn’t sure about what aspect of sailing specifically. Juts an idea.

    Good luck.

  2. Wow! This is such an informative website! I would love to visit Naples and especially visit Pompeii!

And I love your piece on Yoga on a Yacht!!

I have no experience whatsoever with regards to sailing but would be very interested in trying it out. Obviously at first it would have to be crewed, but in general, how much experience would a person need with a yacht before it would be safe for them to go without a crew?

    Thanks!

    • Hi Brian,

Thank you for the compliment, I love to hear positive comments:)

To answer your question, First of, you need to take a sailing course which includes theories and practice. To charter a bareboat, you need a skipper license. I have written an article about Bareboat charter requirements. If you have the time, you should read it. This article will give you all the information you need to know about bareboating.

If you still don’t feel comfortable sailing alone after the course, a skippered yacht would be very helpful to get you started.
