  1. All the places you mentioned are great and beautiful places to visit with a bareboat but there are some that I am skeptical about. Like the Seychelles Islands which is in Africa. Is it possible for someone in the UK to visit the Seychelles Island on a bareboat and if yes, how long will it take?

    • Hi Linus,

There is nothing to be afraid of in Seychelles. Anyway, the yacht charter company will tell you the places to avoid sailing there. Yes, you can definitely sail in Seychelles if you are from the UK, no problem at all:)

The bareboat charter trip starts on Saturday and ends on the following Saturday unless you decide to sail longer.

I hope it helped. Please let me know if you need more info. I’ll be glad to assist! Thank you for the comment and wish you a lovely day.

  5. Wow what beautiful destinations! I have Croatia on my bucket list, but now I will be adding a few more. I don’t know about a bare boat charter. I don’t have any sailing experience, so I don’t think this would work for me right? Don’t we have to show proof to the charter company that we are capable of sailing? I do like the idea of it though. Can you hire your own personal crew? Would this satisfy the charter company?

    • Hi Matt’s
Yes, you do have to show your skipper license if you have on and your competencies in sailing. Absolutely, you can hire your own crew as long as the person who navigates the boat is qualified:)
There are crewed boats too, this could be a good idea for your sailing vacations.
Please, let me know if you need more info, I’ll be glad to assist.
Thank you for the comment and wish a fantastic day!

  6. Hi David,

    Thank you for passing by!

Price will depend on the destination, the type of boat, etc. But usually, bareboat charters are affordable, and if you can share the boat with some friends, then it will lower the cost.

We all need to work to feed our family, but this doesn’t have to stop us from enjoying life:)

Thank you for the comment and wish you to sail very soon!
