Thanks for the post! I have not heard of Royalty Yachts before. I am an ASA certified sailor with multiple certifications including Bareboat Cruising, Cruising Catamaran and Docking Endorsement. I have chartered boats, both mono and multi-hull, multiple times in the BVIs as well as the Grenadines.
My charter experience has been with Horizon Yacht Charters and Moorings. Now I have to check out Royalty Yachts for my next charter. Australia might be the one to do but I’m not sure yet.

The only way to find out how you’d feel on a boat is to get onboard a yacht and try it out:) The worst that could happen is getting seasick, but there are very good remedies for that today. So there’s nothing to worry about. Any yacht could suit, but I would suggest you try to charter a skippered boat or a crewed yacht since you don’t have any sailing experience.

Nearing the beginning of the next chapter in my life, retirement, I have begun to look for cruises that may interest me and my partner.
During my research I remembered that I had done a cruise in the Whitsunday Islands (in Australia) for one of my milestone birthdays a few years back (50th!). This marked my beginning point in my search.

What a great article. I must say that I was enjoying while reading. My friend has a yacht and I was only once with him and I can say that it was incredible feeling.
